Famous Quotes Game

All quotes but one are from the same person ...

Find the odd man out ... and find the person who wrote/said all these quotes

1) every moment of every day somewhere on the planet it's snowing --

2) improbably possibilities are to be prefered over proabably impossibilities

3) Black holes are where God divided by zero

4) when you burn your finger on a stove for a second it seems like eternity but when you sit on the beach with a beautiful woman for eternity it seems like a second

5) If we knew what it was we were doing, it would not be called research, would it

6) X, when asked to describe radio, replied:
"You see, wire telegraph is a kind of a very, very long cat. You pull his tail in New York and his head is meowing in Los Angeles. Do you understand this? And radio operates exactly the same way: you send signals here, they receive them there. The only difference is that there is no cat."

7) Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former

8) The great problems we face in the world today cannon be solved at the same level of thinking as when we came up with them

Just a wild guess: The first six quotes by Lichtenberg (I don't know his first name; maybe he's Belgian), the seventh by Einstein?

Or do you mean the eighth one which is different because it's missing?

It surely is Albert Einstein. I don't think that he did the cat quote (6) - the cat expert was Schrödinger. On the other hand the cat quote lacks technical understanding - maybe it was Groucho Marx with the cat?

The 8th is the one with the smilie. The system mistook "[eight][bracket]" as a smilie.

It is Einstein ... but I did not double check where the quotes came from ... got it from someone's homepage ... All quotes should be by Einstein, except for the first one ...

The "odd man" has "RR" in his first name and "LL" in his last name, right? (I only know this because I found an easy way to cheat - I'll tell later)
