Post by lmviterbo »

"Currency in colour: a visual guide to 157 banknotes around the world" is a study recently published on money.co.uk about the most prominent colour depicted in each of 157 world currencies.

The euro is represented here by the Europa :note-20:. According to this, its dominant colour is Pantone 13-4405 TCX ("Misty Blue") — that is, #BFCDCC, or #C1CACE as money.co.uk renders it.

According to this study, the banknotes with the most similar palettes are the 1000-Philippine peso and the 2000-Colombian peso ones, both sporting Pantone 14-4504 TCX ("Sky Gray") as dominant colour.
