Search for serial

The last 2 days, on 2 different computers (work and home), when I use the search function for serials (my profilie > notes > field with +) I don't get any reaction of eurobilltracker.com (using internet explorer).
Closing EBT and opening a new window with EBT works only after at least 30 min. waiting; otherwise, no connection :( .
Using EBT on my smartphone Samsung Galaxy S2 gives the same problem.

Does searching for serial:X123123123 (or serienummer:X123123123, depending on your language) work any better?

As far as I know, there have been no changes related to searching. But it's a good thing you got it working again in any case.

Some weeks before I temporarily had the same problems (with FF AND IE). Often between 12am and 1am CET, but also on other times.

The recent weeks I didn't had to search serials very often (no selfhits), so logically it didn't appear.

It should also be noted that when someone has hundreds of thousands note entries, searching through them is rather slow. Especially when doing a freetext search, which searches for the search term from serial number, shortcode, comment, city name, hit date and region name fields. If you know you're searching for notes which have a specific comment, prefix your search term with comment: (or whatever it happens to be in your language), as instructed on the search help page. This will give you your search results quicker.
