Re: Android App EBT.art
I just want to say that only recently did I start using this app regularly, and I'm sorry...
that I didn't start sooner! ARTie, where have you been all my life? This is a great app.
I was hesitant about using it because my previous experiences with apps - a long time ago, I admit - were not great (specifically, the character recognition using your phone's camera). Well, no such problems here. The printer codes are, of course, trickier for the camera but in my experience so far very few mistakes were made (which I spotted and corrected immediately). I highly recommend it!

Re: Android App EBT.art
I'm using both Billy with my PC and EBT.art with my mobile phone:
Input of eurobill data goes much faster with EBT.art but I cannot store data
on my phone and use for this purpose the PC. One subject of EBT.art, which I dislike
is the really small tab when I want to activate the camera for scanning either printer or
serial. Quite often my fingertip activates the commentfield below and all the time I have
to interrupt the scanning procedure and first close the "edit comment field".
It would be a great relief to enlarge the tab (see red double arrow).
2 millimeters would be enough...

Re: Android App EBT.art
This actually happesns a lot to me too. On all fields, note just this one. I would agree that the problem is the line height.
Also, since I'm here: Whenever I want to change the postal code but keep the city (which is very frequent for me), I dislike that, when I touch the postal code field, the cursor jumps to the city field. I have the feeling that this behaviour is kind of recent.

Re: Android App EBT.art
Thanks for your feedback!
I will have a look on both issues:
- touchable areas too small
- wrong focus on city instead of zip code

Re: Android App EBT.art
Thanks for the changes! After the field height increase (and the zipcode focus corrected), it has been working perfectly almost always (I can blame the few times I miss the icon on my bad eye and fat finger).
On another subject:
Jackgaillard complains that he can't register U045/UG with EBT.art. Just a reminder of the new letters:
known so far:
U045 ABCD + EFGH
U048 EFGH
U049 EFGH

Thank you for great app!
But it seems that there is a problem with the uploading process if the comment contains a single quote.
Same note, but successful after removing ' from the comment field

Re: Android App EBT.art
Works for me. An entry from the web server log:
Code: Select all
POST /?m=insertbills&v=1&PHPSESSID=xxxx&city=Helsinki%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20&zip=00100&country=Finland&serial0=L91231231235&denomination0=5&shortcode0=D001F1&comment0=%27
Also note the suggestion on the API page: "We recommend that you POST the data to avoid the request length limit of GET." Although the used method was already POST, the input data was still in the URL and the POSTed data was empty.
While we're at it, although not specified in the API, it'd be nice to have the application's name and version in the user agent string. Currently the presented user agent string seems to be "okhttp/4.9.2". Having the correct name and version logged might help in diagnosing some issues.
