Belgian notes pooled to other countries

Post by fcbruges » Thu Apr 16, 2009 6:04 pm

Could you help me to figure out where the Belgian :flag-be: :note-50: T/Z banknotes have been pooled to since 2002?

Please check your inserted notes to find out if at a certain time you might have received an increased amount of these :note-50: T/Z (especially if these :note-50: T/Z were the dominant :note-50: at a certain time, if you regularly had consecutive -uncirculated- notes, or several of these notes from ATM's on a regular basis at a certain time)

If at a certain moment over the past few years there have been a lot of :flag-be: :note-50: pooled to your country, could you then give me the following information?

1. Your country
2. Which shortcode(s) was(were) pooled to your country? (e.g. T007)
3. Part of the serialnumber of these notes (e.g. Z6**123 or Z3**123 if possible)
4. When did they show up in reasonable amounts? Until when?

So e.g.: Austria T007 Z3**700 from April 2007 until December 2007

And if possible, to help me better date these notes, could you tell me if other :note-50: from other countries have been pooled to your country (with the same 4 points as mentioned above?)

Thank you

Hi!
In my database of 2230 notes I have 744 :note-50: notes and 58 from :flag-be: .
Most recent ones were quite new - short code T007 and serials Z3**704, Z3**705 and a lot more... It shows in Slovakia actually from the change to euro till now.

Thanks for the answer;

I think the reason you have entered quite a few :note-50: T/Z in Slovakia is that Slovakia received in 2008 its initial stock of euro-banknotes for the changeover and for 2009 from the OeNB (the Austrian National Central Bank) and that I think Austria has received at a certain time Belgian :note-50: (T007; at least from Z3**66 to Z3**71); there have been relatively many of these T007-notes entered in Slovenia too (on ET) - and Slovenia also received its initial supply from Austria at the end of 2006.

What do you mean by "and a lot more... "?
Another question, not related to this topic: do you know how much banknotes of each denomination were sent to Slovakia for the changeover (188 million in total, I think, but how many :note-5: , :note-10: , :note-20: , ...)?

I checked my NIG statistics and it seems to me that Belgian :note-50: s have been pooled to Finland at least in two batches:

1st batch:
T003 from series Z6**77 and to some extent also Z6**78
T006 from series Z3**25, Z3**26, Z3**27, Z3**28 and to some extent also Z3**29
These :note-50: s were already in circulation in late 2005 when I started to track Euros so I don't know when they were first put into circulation.
The stocks were exhausted in 2007 (unfortunately I don't know more precise time because I lived in Brussels between 2006 and 2008).
I have encountered several T006 Z3**29 notes also in Brussels which leads me to believe that not all Z3**29's were pooled to Finland.

2nd batch:
T010 from serie Z3**66
First appeared in 2008 and new T010 notes can still be received from shops and banks. These :note-50: s have always been in the minority as the Finnish markets are now flooded with German R028, R030 and R031 :note-50: s.

In my opinion :note-50: T/Z notes were never pooled to Slovenia. Just for the record: I've tracked 1835 :note-50: notes, from which only 126 were Belgian:

J/S - 690 (37,6 %)
P/X - 369 (20,1 %)
R/X - 321 (17,5 %)
M/V - 188 (10,2 %)

T/Z - 126 (6,9 %)
G/P - 69 (3,8 %)
L/U - 17 (0,9 %)
P/V - 16 (0,9 %)
H/M - 15 (0,8 %)
F/N - 9 (0,5 %)
H/L - 5 (0,3 %)
H/P - 3 (0,2 %)
K/T - 3 (0,2 %)
D/L - 2 (0,1 %)
F/S - 1 (0,1 %)
N/Y - 1 (0,1 %)

There are any consecutive numbers or any other pattern, but it is possible that certain amount were borrowed from Austria (probabily T007 and maybe also some other). My statistics:

T001: 3x
T002: 4x
T003: 6x
T004: 15x (Z6**92 - 3x)
T005: 5x
T006: 8x
T007: 43x (Z3**66 - 3x; Z3**67 - 4x; Z3**69 - 4x; Z3**98 - 3x; Z3**99 - 4x)
T008: 18x
T009: 19x (Z3**30 - 3x)
T010: 3x
T011: 1x

Almost all T003 remained in Belgium, except for Z6**63- Z6**69 (where to?) and Z6**77 - Z6**781 (to Finland).
The vast majority of the T006 remained in Belgium: starting from Z3**295 untill the end Z3**572
Z3**252- Z3**294 were pooled abroad, apparently (partly?) to Finland in 2005.

Do you have more information on those T010 (they are not that common in Belgium; I have only got 9 :note-50: T010/Z on 3211 :note-50: T/Z)?

The :note-50: T/Z were not pooled to Slovenia; but Slovenia received ALL its banknotes in 2006 from Austria and Austria had received some T/Z before (based on the data I have gathered: T007, Z3**66 - Z3**71). A lot of your T007 fit in this serialnumberrange. These T/Z sent to Slovenia were probably used notes, and did not represent a big part of the total amount of :note-50: borrowed from Austria by Slovenia.
In 2008 and 2009 Slovenia received "real" pooling notes, probably from several central banks.

Here is what I think:
T001 Z6**000 - Z6**334 BELGIUM
T002 Z6**335 - Z6**400 BELGIUM
____ Z6**4__ - Z6**604 GERMANY (and maybe others?)
T003 Z6**60_ - Z6**62_ BELGIUM
____ Z6**63_ - Z6**69_ ???
____ Z6**70_ - Z6**76_ BELGIUM
____ Z6**77_ - Z6**780 FINLAND
____ Z6**782 - Z6**797 BELGIUM
T004 Z6**800 - Z6**947 BELGIUM
___________________________________________________
____ Z3**000 - Z3**252 BELGIUM (T004 AND T005)
T006 Z3**252 - Z3**294 FINLAND (and maybe others?)
____ Z3**295 - Z3**572 BELGIUM
T007 Z3**57_ - ______ ????
____ Z3**58_ - Z3**60_ BELGIUM
____ Z3**61_ - Z3**65_ ????
____ Z3**66_ - Z3**71_ AUSTRIA?
____ Z3**72_ - Z3**76_ ????
____ Z3**77_ - Z3**83_ BELGIUM
____ Z3**84_ - Z3**92_ ????
____ Z3**93_ - Z3**95_ BELGIUM
____ Z3**96_ - Z3**99_ ????
____________________________________________________
T007 Z3**00_ - Z3**00_ ????
T008 Z3**011 - Z3**195 BELGIUM
____ Z3**196 - Z3**285 FRANCE?
____ Z3**286 - Z3**292 BELGIUM
T009 Z3**292 - Z3**326 BELGIUM
____ Z3**326 - Z3**329 ????
____ Z3**330 - Z3**333 FRANCE?
____ Z3**334 - Z3**336 ????
____ Z3**337 - Z3**342 BELGIUM
____ Z3**343 - Z3**361 ????
____ Z3**362 - Z3**489 BELGIUM
____ Z3**490 - Z3**499 FRANCE?
____ Z3**500 - Z3**511 ????
____ Z3**512 - Z3**514 FRANCE?
____ Z3**514 - Z3**518 BELGIUM
____ Z3**519 - Z3**551 FRANCE?
____ Z3**552 - Z3**611 BELGIUM
>T010 ???????????

I think that at least Ireland and Greece (an maybe the Netherlands?) have received some too (based on the diffusion-pies from the EBT-site)

Unfortunately I don't have. All I know is that I've got them in the first half of February 2009 (including one T011). Here are parts of their serial number:

:note-50: T010 Z3**649; Z3**658; Z3**667
:note-50: T011 Z3**779

My T010 breakdown is as follows:
one Z3**622 and one Z3**623 found in Helsinki region November/December 2008. They were in uncirculated condition but as I only have these two I can't draw any conclusions.
one Z3**666, ten Z3**667 and two Z3**669 found in Helsinki region between December 2008 and yesterday. All either uncirculated or slightly used but still in good condition. This seems to be the main T010 batch currently in circulation in Helsinki region.
one Z3**696 uncirculated note found in Mikkeli. So far I only have this one note so no conclusions based on it.

three consecutive uncirculated T010 Z3**650 notes withdrawn from ATM in LUXEMBOURG (!) in April 2008.

I hope this helps you.

Belgian notes of all values are rare in Ireland. I have 25 T/Z 50's.
T001 2x
T002 1x
T004 2x
T006 1x
T007 17x
T009 1x
T013 1x (possibly an error in entering the short code)
Hoping that this will help you to some extent.

I entered 326 :note-50: T/Z notes

39 of these notes we're new (in serie), all received in :flag-be: Belgium

T008 Z3**12
T009 Z3**33
T009 Z3**43
T009 Z3**45
T009 Z3**48
T009 Z3**58
T013 Z3**88

The other 287 we're single notes ( :flag-be: 141, :flag-nl: 105, :flag-de: 6, :flag-fi: 3, :flag-lu: 3, :flag-fr: 2) and might have travelled their own way to their destination. Based on my notes I can't say if they have been pooling notes for other countries than Belgium.

i think we skipped T010 / T011 / T 012

when i look when notes get enterd at :flag-lu: , the serial numbers all point out they are UNC so i am sure a part has gone that way

i also saw something strange when i saw a coment on a german :note-50: ( it was a lot of around 10 ) . from a bank booth UNC notes

seems a bit strange that german UNC :note-50: notes get circulated here
