Ok, I guess that clearly shows that notes are not that carefully checked before they put 'm in the ATM...

It seems that in Germany, they don't have the automated checking of notes that our guide at the Belgian National Bank told us about... (EBTM04 !!! :o )

There was a little scandal a few weeks ago, because it was revealed that a lot of German banks don't let the bills be checked before they put them into ATMs, as they would be supposed to. So you can also get fake bills from German ATMs....
But I agree that the "Kleine Arschloch" would make a very good design!

I know that there are machines where they combine deposit and withdrawal actions. Those notes are never checked as wel as a national bank does.

That's also why it is possible that banknotes with the url written on it can stay in circulation for so long.

But as can be read in the EBTM04 recap, the chances of having such bills taken out of roulation are higher then unwritten bills.

So wich chance is higher: the one that someone will register and enter the written note in EBT or that the note will get out of roulation by the national bank ot the ECB :?:

I will keep on NOT to mark bills. Exception maybe if those bills are so rotten that their days are definitely numbered anyway AND if I will not exchange them at a bank.

Today, I've got a bunch of 5€s from a bank. Those 100 notes were comming directly from the National Bank (recognisable by lias).
This was one of the 100 notes 8O ... so there is a possebility notes with a text are staying in circulation, even after checking by a NB -??-
I have to be honest, it's the first note with a text I find in a bunch of used banknotes comming directly from the NB  .

Very interesting. With that amount of notes entered, it's no wonder you find all kind of interesting notes. :D

Today I got a note with a stamp on it. The stamp is on the front and it says: " 03 - 09 - 61"

I'm going to enter the note now..... and I forgot to fill in the commend.

Well it is a 50 euro note with the shortcode Gxxxxx and the serialnummer Pxxx914xxxxx

Most all notes that I found with some writing on it were numbers... but here you have another examples....

in one of them I found writen on it a Bäh, anyone knows the meaning?

in another I found Angel writen on it (no hit)

another with asian characters and numbers in black and one 42 big in blue (sorry I didn't scanned it)

another one with an account in there (1391.09+216.8=1607.89)

another had a green stamp, similar this:

anyone knows what does goroita means?

edit: maybe goroita is in Basque 8O

if this is german, it is very very colloquial. It could something mean like Ugh! and Yuck!
On the other side you say "Bäh" if you poke your tongue out at someone! Image

ummm so it's similar to the Spanish Bah, but I saw the "umlaut" and thought there were another meaning
