Portuguese banners

Post by lmviterbo » Sun Dec 21, 2003 2:11 am

I'm afraid I don't have the skills to do the banners either. But here are some texts that might be on them:

Siga o rasto das suas notas

Nunca pensou onde vão parar
as suas notas quando as gasta?

- Onde terá ido parar a minha nota?
- Uau! Anda ver! Foi de Portugal para a Finlândia!
Agora também TU podes seguir o rasto
às tuas notas

Para quem não quer perder o rasto
às suas notas de Euro

Uma nota de Euro de mão em mão
acaba por vir parar ao...

(This last one was not based on any of the existing slogans and translates "A Euro bill changing hands will eventually be in...")

I hope I've been of help

NEW SLOGANS

Post by lmviterbo » Wed Jan 07, 2004 12:24 am

Thanks to bietel's wonderful signature (which I found on his/her 15th post, having missed all the previous ones), I was curious enough to check the image source. Here's bietel's signature:

I just had to use this amazing danasoft little free signature, and started on making my own bottom sentence. Actually you can write down up to ten 50-word sentences and they will randomly show up.
I was inspired and created 7 new EBT slogans in a glimpse. Here they are:

€€ A Febre do Dinheiro! www.eurobilltracker.com €€

And here's the English translation:

Where's your money? http://www.eurobilltracker.com
actually, the Portuguese version has a hard to translate pun

Your money doesn't stop! www.eurobilltracker.com

Other people's € in your hands! eurobilltracker.com

The bliss of € in your hands! eurobilltracker.com

To be granted € is as good as to give! eurobilltracker.com

Make a Hit! Reach the Top! www.eurobilltracker.com

€€ Money Fever! http://www.eurobilltracker.com €€

In Portuguese, this refers also to the old quiz show "Greed", called in Portugal "A Febre do Dinheiro"

And here's a last one as a bonus:

And the winner is You! http://eurobilltracker.com

I'm sorry to say this but all of them, especially the last one, remind me about the titles of spam mails. :?

I know, Aaron, that is the point precisely... The slogans are delibertaely cornyish. "Irony" is the word. Of course, you might not like it. 8)

When things settle, could someone edit the banners in use for the reference-system? The links have been edited, but the text itself still says .com...

Hei,
Ikäviä tällaiset tilanteet johon ebt on joutunut. Tein sivuilleni bannerin mainostamaan .eu sivustoa (http://filppa.com/). Bannerin voi laittaa ebt:n sivuillekin käyttäjiä varten. Jos seuraavat kiinnostavat niin saa ottaa käyttöön...

Kuvan voi ladata osoitteesta:
http://filppa.com/images/ebt_eu.gif

Lähdekoodi (sijoitetaan heti body tagin jälkeen tai sisällön aloittavan divin alkuun):
<div style="position:absolute;top:0;right:0;float:right;margin:0;padding:0;">
<map name="ebtkulma"><area alt="Eurobilltracker.eu" title="Eurobilltracker.eu" href="http://www.eurobilltracker.eu/" target="_blank" shape="poly" coords="0,0,71,0,188,117,188,188,0,0"><map>
<img alt="Seuraa euroseteleiden matkaa" src="http://filppa.com/images/ebt_eu.gif" border="0" usemap="#ebtkulma">
</div>

Väänsin pikaisesti myös (468x60) bannerin, jossa com on korvattu eu:lla:
http://filppa.com/images/ebtbanneri.gif

Terveisin
-filppa-
Sorry for the Finnish, but I think that the matter is clear anyway :) These new .eu -banners are freely used.

Great :) This image is now the only image served via www.eurobilltracker.eu/banner.php , additional images are welcome. We could also use banners in other languages. The banner script is smart enough to determine the preferred language of the browser, so it would automatically display French images to French users, for example.

I've created a small button (88x31)

It's neutral without any TLD
