Regarding the EBT Twitter feed, I'd like to point out that people don't have to sign up to Twitter to read the tweets.
https://twitter.com/EBT_News" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; can be read by whoever has a web browser. If you dislike the idea of checking some web page every now and then for news (understandable), you can use the RSS feed
https://api.twitter.com/1/statuses/user ... e=ebt_news" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; to get automatic notifications of any new tweets. Most web browsers have some sort of a "live bookmark" functionality which can be used for this purpose. Some email clients (like Thunderbird) also allow you to read RSS feeds. I'd imagine your phones might also have some apps for dealing with tweets and/or RSS feeds.

thanks for the info.
i hope the important news are being announced on the forum disregarding the twitter account? i don’t know when i would have come across
the new page of the association if i hadn’t just had a look at twitter (where i barely ever go).

We have various channels for spreading out the information. Our Twitter feed is somewhat of a catch-all information outlet, as it contains both important and perhaps also less important news bits. Each tweet is limited to 140 characters, so if that isn't sufficient, perhaps we'll use an announcement on the forum (and link to the post from Twitter). We can also post things to
EBT's news section, but that involves somewhat more work as those texts will need to be translated. Newsletters can also be emailed to our users, but they also need to be translated and massaged into suitable form for emailing. Some things can also be posted on Facebook. Yeah, there are indeed quite a few channels for distributing the info.
To actually answer your question, we'll use whatever communication channel(s) that is the most appropriate for the information. That includes the forum as well.

Today might be a suitable day for following
our Twitter feed. We can also retweet your EBT-related tweets during the day.
This message was brought to you by the hash tags #EuroBillTracker, #Euro and #4000days.

Yes, it is. hartgeld.com is a page which is dedicated to "gold, silver and precaution against crisis". (By the way, the German word "Hartgeld" - hard money - means coins, although we do not use that word in our every day use.)
People come via a reader's letter - that's the one which was posted today at 8.15 a.m. and which is from an Austrian user. He is as well an EBTer, although he does not disclose his EBT-identity. Funny guy - he writes that he is
"one of those crazy people who use the Euro for playing as well, precisely on the page
https://de.eurobilltracker.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. (This, by the way, shortens in an entertaining way the waiting for the crash)"
einer der Verrückten, die den Euro auch zum spielen benutzen und zwar auf der Seite https://de.eurobilltracker.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; (Das verkürzt übrigens auf amüsante Weise das Warten auf den Crash)
Let's hope that his piece of "assistance" on a page where coin buffs come together will help us to attract more people who keep on entering bills even after their first day of membership.

And this (as well as the re-broadcasting) made the number of Belgian (and also a bit of the Dutch) users grow.
