Yes, but that's "big" Brussels. Codes like 1020, ... are from parts of "big" Brussels who were, in the past, villages on their own, like Ganshoren, ... Now they are all Brussels.

For example write the street name (kadunnimi).
Thanks for the link, it will be useful in the future. I was too lazy to find this out myself.

That's true. But if you use Brussels 1090 or Jette 1090 they are both correct.

And the codes like 1005 are for some parts of the Government I think.

I've only entered the numbers. I don't want to be tracked down to the street I live in: Let me have some privacy, please
Same for me  :
I use the zip code of the po box in my home town and the po box from my work in the city..

If I go shopping I use the address of the shop (I also use the receipts to get the zipcode  )
If you don't like traveling, just watch where your Eurobill goes and let the banknote do the travelling for you!!

No zip codes in Ireland, but at least this site accepts "-" instead. I hate those made-for-Americans-only sites that ONLY accept a five-digit zip code 8O

In fact the zip code is used to calculated the distance the bill has travelled once it is hit. Maybe we should consider the possibility to enter the Latitude and Longitude when the zip code is unknown or does not exist. :P

interesting site
but it only lets you search ~5 times and then they ask your personal information to send you a password for another 100 free searches.
If you enter fake data, they even find out not existing street names and tell you to enter the correct one!
(I entered some data and my email, but I still got no mail :? )

I use only one postal code per location, except for big cities like Berlin (and Paris, Wien and others if I go there in the future) or if there is a dotborder in that location and no possibility to gain that dot in the same country). The postal codes in my homecountry - The Netherlands - are to accurate, on average only 8 houses per postal code (f.e. 1111 AA)

To find postal codes within the eurozone, I use to links from the EBT site. For other countries I try to find the website of the national post service.
