I was wondering if anyone still receives
from the 2002 series from ATM's or banks (UNC or used). Here in
ATM's and banks only give Europe fivers as far as I know. Where have all our old
gone?

Fivers from the initial series are still majority here, in my (limited) experience. Mostly M013/V.

Thanks for the reply's, do you still receive
from the 2002 series from ATM's/banks or only via circulation? In
it may be around 50/50 from circulation too, but from banks 100% Europe series.

I never get 5s from ATMs, I don't even think they carry them.
It's about 50/50 in circulation, but last time I went to the bank to get change it was mostly 2002 series fives, probably 66-33.
Again this is Ireland.

In Finland it's about 60-40 for old fivers. Bank gives new and old fivers, mostly old ones. ECB says that the most of old fivers are delete for circulation in the beginning of autumn, but this plan doesn't work in Finland. I think it's a good thing

in germany it seems to be that the bundesbank branches only return new
into circulation, but going to a normal bank, or getting
from a cash recycling atm, it is still possible to obtain old
from a bank. today i received a bundle with 37 old
and 63 new ones.

i can report more of the same for the south of germany, only it seems here the balance has tipped more clearly in favour of the europa ones. i.e. in circulation i'm seeing about 75% europa notes, getting
from cash recycling atms it's more like 80% europa ones - and still next to all regular atms carry brand new europa

In my corner of
from Banks I get mostly old 2002 series, and when I say old I'm talking about in very bad shape, dirty the type that you don't except to get from a Bank and I also get unc,unc-,new Dui
I can say that from banks is 80/85% old series 15/20% Europa series.
From normal circulation I say it's 60% Europa 40% old ones
what gives?

No Greek ATM give 5's out.
Here in Athens it is still 1 out of 10 5's being the Europa series...it looks like it will take for ever to change them over.

In
ATM where you can have

with the pooling for
in the last year or so we have had
polling:
G014
P232
P233
P234
P235
P236
P237
P238
P244
P245
P246
P247--> This
notes are from late 2011 but are much more common to find today than a lot of the newer pooling notes that fallows on this post. Which makes me believe that the entire batch of those series came to
G014
F020
G025,G026
L347, L348
G013
G021, G022, G023
H*62, H*63, H*64, H*65, H*66, H*67, H*68

i had 3 or 4 places in ireland where when they gave me fivers they took the old ones out when they counted and only gave me the new series

does anyone have any idea about how the new
are pooled?
I saw that S/S are given both in italy and Ireland
V/V in Spain and Germany
U/U in France and in Estonia...
this from recent trips, do you know something more?
