Country flags as emoticons

Post by Bobtail »

I was wondering if it's possible to have the most used country flags (Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image) as emoticons? And maybe the mini notes (Image Image Image Image Image Image Image) too? It would make adding them to a post much easier (clicketi-click). Also, it would save posting space (nice for huge stats). For example, there's quite a difference between

Code: Select all

and

Code: Select all

Just a thought. I'm not very familiar with the insides of phpBB.

Excellent idea. You can access the new emoticons by clicking the "View more Emoticons" link below the smilies, or by using the codes listed below:

Perhaps it's possible to add the flag of United Kingdom to the emoticons.
Even if they have the pound there is a printer (De La Rue / Gateshead) for Euros.

Because Slovenia will get the Euro at 1.1.2007 and I don't know how fast the other new (or old) EU-Members will get into Euroland - I think it's a good idea to added this countries as emoticons now too!

Just an idea.
Thnx

Another relatively popular flag/emoticon appears to be the Europe flag.

Not an entirely unreasonable request.

:flag-si: :flag-si: Slovenia
:flag-uk: :flag-uk: United Kingdom
:flag-eu: :flag-eu: Europe

.. and Monaco and Andorra and Liechtenstein and ..

Sorry, some flags aren't going to get added to the forum, but they can naturally be linked with [img] tags as always.

Well , Kleman , Switzerland is not precisely surrounded by Europe , it's in the heart of Europe . Please consider that Switzerland is only surrounded by Euroland . It makes a difference . Philippe :flag-fr:
