Attachment view counts

Post by Montgomery Burns »

This is (probably) not a major issue, but still...

Our friend Castanhola brought up in the Portuguese-language forum how attachment view counts seem to be off in the past few days. More specifically, they are unrealistically high for the usual standards of the said forum (none of us there can comment about other sections of the forum EDIT -I just took a quick look at he Notes and Coins forum, which is rich in att.. The latest two posts in this page have a similar view count, despite being separated by 10 days. I don't have time for further investigations at this time).

For instance, the attachments on this page have accumulated thousands of views in a short amount of time, whereas the attachments on the previous page have much lower - and usual - view counts.

That is odd. The amount of requests for those files I see from the web server log seems normal. Unfortunately I don't have an explanation for this oddity at this time.

Attachment view counts are "normal" again.
This one had about 15 views over a 24-hour period.
