PM: Sentbox vs. Outbox

Post by arttu »

Should Personal Messages, that have been read, move from Sentbox to Outbox? Because I have one message in Sentbox and I'm waiting a reply for that. It would be nice to know, if recipient has read that message.

And other thing, I think I maybe have seen such a feature on some forum, that senders can edit their PMs too, before the recipient has read that message. Like I can edit this post without a trace, before somebody posts a reply into this topic.

When you write a message, it moves into Outbox. It stays there 'till the recipient logs in and gets the message. Then the message moves into Sentbox. You can edit your own message (PM) while it is in the Outbox.

So, your PM has gone to the repicient if it is visible in the Sentbox. :D

Thanks for the info. I someway thought it the other way. Maybe it's because the order of those boxes Inbox - Sentbox - Outbox - Savebox. There woud be more logic, if it moved on from Box, like in my email client, not backwards.

Notice:

If you've sent a PM to several users, it stays in the Outbox until one of them reads it.
So if this message is in the Sentbox, it doesn't mean the message is read by them all, but it's read by at least one of them.
