Strange behaviour in Search feature

Post by lmviterbo »

Hi webmasters

Something has gone wrong, because when I search, I can only see the 1st page now.

At least this happened with the following search:

keywords: lmviterbo
forum, category: all available
display as: posts
search previous: all, topic title and message text
sort by: post time, descending
return first: 200 chr

On the results (149 matches, I'm told)), when I click on Next or any of the pages on Goto Page, I get the message:

No topics or posts met your search criteria

Works fine here. Try deleting some cookie for (www.)forum.eurobilltracker.eu.

That doesn't work here, either logged in or not, even restarting the browser after deleting the cookies. It doesn't have to do with the browser version, either. I thought at first it would be because of the Firefox version I'm using:

1.5 Beta 2
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.8b5) Gecko/20051006 Firefox1.4.1

But I get the same error message on IE6.0(2800.1106).

I'm using Windows 2000 SP4 (5.00.2195).

It worked fine some months ago, when I did my last search.

I still didn't try to reboot the PC...

That's because you're looking for IMVITERBO instead of LMVITERBO (this is what lmviterbo is).

Even after reboot I still get the same error. Damn it, I have no clue on what happened, but I guess it's got to do with my particular software configuration, anyway. :(

EDIT (2005-Nov-15): Now it works again. Go figure...

I found another bug
search for any word (e.g. "test"), Display results as: Posts
you get links like
http://forum.eurobilltracker.eu/viewtop ... light=test[/b]#206939

now click on another page of the search result at the bottom line
you get links like
http://forum.eurobilltracker.eu/viewtop ... ighlight=A[/b]#4610

Lmviterbo (sorry that i misinterpreted the l as i), good to hear it works again now with you..

Androl, i could replicate this thing you are mentioning, quite weird behaviour.. although the results still show correctly on what is being searched, only it is going to highlight "A" instead of the searched word...
I'll see what i can find on this topic..

found another bug
search for "lol", Display results as: Posts
Search found 21560 matches (really? )
then click on "Goto page 2"
you will be in topic view mode and it says

"Search found 0 matches"
and some topics, all from 2003, appear
