interesting point with the "2*2*2*" coins, I have been thinking about this issue some days ago, but I have never seen anyone mention this difference before. Anyhow, the Maltese coins will be the first ones that really have the same writing either way you turn the coin. But I'm sure the distances between the 2s and the crosses will not all be exactly the same, which can also be found on the 2*2*2* coins, so you can probably find differences between the coins that can tell you which coins are "A" and "B"
