hmm... wouldn't it be time on 1st of December?
but what will happen on that day? I think the coins will not be legal money before 1st of January 2008.
What happened in December 2006 with the Slovenian coins? I think I remember a story where someone found a coin in December outside of Slovenia in circulation. Don't really remember.

Remember the starter kits? I think they were available for the original smaller euroland already in 2001 although the Euro only became legal tender in 2002.
The Slovenians did the same and now Malta and Cyprus are gonna do it, too. And of course anyone can open such a starter kit and use the coins elsewhere in Europe.

What a shame. I just got back from Malta and was too early for these. The shops were charging €33 for one, and would ship it to me. That's way too much!

WOW really nice!!! I like all of them (just the coppers are cosy)!

I know it will be a mess to get them... they'll be more difficult than the luxembourgish in italy...

I hope, I hope, but Malta is very little and who lived hoping, died desperate (ehm... in Italian it sounds better, because in Italian desperate is said hope-less :? ).
I think the few maltese coins who will come in Italy will be sequestered by collectors, but hoping in hits... why not?

Just a question to meltikus: are you from Malta? Because I didn't find you between maltese users

I will swap some coins and I will get some Malta coins. If I get something in double, I will post here first, to swap with you. (I still miss almost all commemorative coins from finland, San Matino coins... etc)
