Euro notes from the ATMs
Euro notes from the ATMs
Hi, dear Eurobilltrackers,
I would like to ask you, which notes it is usual in your countries to get in the ATMs. Have you ever received a 100 or 200€ note?
Have a nice Sunday.
Luc

Jelle zonder internet. Het was een leuke hobby, maar niet mijn hobby. Een leven zonder internet is mijn ding. Een leven van geld uitgeven in plaats van tracken zeg maar.... hahaha. Ja, er mag gelachen worden.

at first it will be only low denominations so people wont go to shops with high denominations and take all the coins from the shops as changeEwri wrote:its' and only in Malta.
Banks give you and too, but it's difficult to give you higher denominations.

few shops will accept the green notes without hesitation I think. Also, the biggest denomination of the Old Lira is worth less than the 50 EUR, so we are not used to such big notes. Hundreds and bigger notes will be either used by businessmen to pay others, or else, in some hiding place at homemelitikus wrote:at first it will be only low denominations so people wont go to shops with high denominations and take all the coins from the shops as changeEwri wrote:its' and only in Malta.

In Austria most of the ATM gives only
Some ATM in the foyer of banks gives
And only very, very few (I know only 2 of them and believe me i tested many of the ATMs in Austria - look here) dispenses additonally
So using in shops to buy something is no problem in Austria!

... ah, now I understand what you say:in the old topic from 2002, rufasalcatrufas wrote:You know Spain is the european country with more ATMs per capita.
We cannot get 5eur notes because of their poor quality, so that they are prone to cause note jam.
In Spain we can get 10, 20, 50, and 100 notes.
I only know one altorithm:
to get 240:
10 - 1
20 - 1
50 - 1
100 - 1
and then
10 - 1
20 - 0
50 - 1
60 - 0
which means: first, every kind of note if possible (10, 20, 50, 100) and once you have got it all, then minimum number of notes to reach the target.
if I take any amount more than 80€ from the ATM, I get 1x50, 1x20, 1x10, 1x5, and the rest amount in minimum number of notes.
Until 80€, it's sometimes strange.
For example, I always get 5€, but not for 80€, for 80€ I get 50+20+10.
And I always get 20€ for amounts from 20€, but for 65€ I get 50+10+5 and for 70€ 50+10+5+5.
For 55€, some ATMs give 50+5, others 20+20+10+5
I hope the ATM doesn't give you 60€ notesrufasalcatrufas wrote:10 - 1
