I found this Italian 2 Euro Coin, the inner part is very silvery it’s almost the same colour as the outer ring. Do you think it’s a fake, an error or became like this by wear and tear? - Links to the image below!

Yes. That's wright. There are two posibilities: Cleaned or fake.
Please, look at the edge of the coin and tell us if you see something "strange" or unusual there...

I've a fake 2€ from Germany, both the metals are weak, and looks blured, the edge give me the idea of absolute fake, neither vertical lines nor engraving at all but a lots of wear! I keep it as a trophy! IMHO it doesn't seems to me too fake...
I collect and swap 2€ CC, PM for swap!!!!

If the edge is fine, perhaps it is just a cleaned coin. (Maybe acid such as vinager, lemon... or something more strong)melitikus wrote:the edge looks fineJes wrote:Yes. That's wright. There are two posibilities: Cleaned or fake.

Acid attaks the coins and make it look bad, with a different colour. Then, after some months, the coin seems to be dirty not shiny...
