that topic title sounds Slovak, they could have the word w, at least the Russians and Polish and I think the Czech too do
... where's that message again that explained that "W" means "hooray" in Italian-English?
... edit: no, that would be "v" in Czech/Slovak, only Polish uses the letter w

In Italian W is used as an abbreviation of "viva" who means "long live to" and, yes, it stay for "Hourra!".
Maybe in the title of an English topic it was better to use a different word

Wikipedia says that it stands for "evviva"
eVViva -> eWiva?
eVViva -> eWiva?

Re: SLOVAK eurocoins found in circulation outside SLOVAKIA
I can't believe this! I got a 2 cent coin from our coffee machine at work - and the funny thing is that it doesn't even accept such small coins! I put in some coins but they all got stuck... and although we're supposed to be reimbursed if they machine doesn't deliver, it's a small comfort if you want your coffee NOW. So, I gave it a good punch with my fist, and out came a wide selection of coins, this first Slovak among them.
Re: SLOVAK eurocoins found in circulation outside SLOVAKIA
Perhaps it was from somebody from Slovakia who didn't know that it doesn't accept those coins. There was a lot of ticket machines and coffee machines stucked with 1c and 2c coins while changing to euro because people just didn't know it...

Today I got a Slovakian coin of 20 ct (from circulation).
I'll take it with me to the meeting in Bologna.

Again a slovak now a 5 cent brand new. As eddydevries also found one, are this a kind of pooling coins?

I received Slovak 2 € and 20 cent coins a few weeks ago in Tampere at Rajaportin sauna, which has quite many foreign visitors.

Re: SLOVAK eurocoins found in circulation outside SLOVAKIA
Last thursday I spotted my first Slovak €2 coin, but it was not mine and the person that did own it wanted it for himself.
My NIG stats have finally disappeared. My EBTST stats are still available.
