Rare Euro banknote

Post by bhoeyb »

Today, I've entered the first 10E printed by The Netherlands (G-printer) for Spain (V); the first in +42.000 notes and number 6 in our EBT database.
I should had keep it. Looks like it's quite rare. Anyways, it was a used note.
So, those notes aren't typos. They are REAL! 8O :D

I've heard they are going to use more and more foreign printers. Let's see when we see the first foreign-made euro notes (other than 50e) released by the Bank of Finland.

Anyways, it makes eurobilltracking more and more interesting. :D

The strangest note I entered was :
20E note from Spain (V) printed bij the Italian printer (J).
It is still the only one with this combination in our database.
At that time I checked carefully the printing on the note, considered the note rare, but spend it anyway.

This 20 euro note with J code must be a mistake.

But, the 10 euro spanish note with G code it's real, but I can't see them circulating. A few months ago somebody sold two G-code 10 euro notes (v) in eBay, and I saw the image.

Hmm, I think you will get a lot of fake hits from this one. Can you obscure the numbers partly?

I just noticed something in my database: my lowest serial of a Spanish €10-
note is V043, with shortcode M001**!

So I think there are more of those G-printed Spanish €10-notes, but
almost all of them are kept by the Spanish National Bank.

Or do some people have Spanish €10-notes with serials (much) lower than
V043?

BTW bhoeyb, did the serial of your Netherlando-Spanish bill also start with
V01 and have shortcode G005**?

My lowest €10 V-note is V037. I have 4 that are lower than V043. All have M00 printercodes. All my 66 V-notes (not just the €10 ones) have an M printercode. They range from V003 to V133. But again, that are not just the €10 notes.

I still don't have a statistic file with my notes so it takes me too long to look for 1 note in 45.600 notes :( ... but maybe the next days if I have some time  .

-edit-
I couldn't resist  ... it's a indeed a G005** with V01

There are 7 10-euro notes V/G in EBT.
0 inserted from Spain. 4 from the Netherlands. Second item must be Bhoeyb's one.
