Yesterday I was going through the security control in Stansted airport, holding my crying baby and mad at the absurdly exhaustive register that they were performing despite the huge queue, when I saw two pennies and a 2 cent coin lying on the floor. Of course I took them and put them in my pocket, and didn't look at them until I was waiting at the boarding gate. I couldn't believe it when I saw that the 2c was a 2015 :flag-lt:! That was the only good thing that happened in a crowded English airport in mid-July.

I shop in Lidl and for the past month I received several UNC 5c :flag-lt: coins.
Yesterday I noticed that cashier was full of shiny 5c :flag-lt: coins.
Does it mean that :flag-ie: didnt mint any 5c coins and instead bought them from :flag-lt: mint?
I have 4 :flag-lt: coins in my wallet at the moment.

Interesting. Maybe Lithuania ordered too much 5 cent coins and they are now sold to lands where those are needed. I don't think that Ireland would have ordered largely Lithuanian 5 cent coins to avoid producing its own ones.

its a big lithuanians community in Ireland and this could be one of the reason how they get into the Irish market from Lithuania :)

If it is a swap - we will see a lot of 1€ Irish coins here in Lithuania (in my opinion - 1€ is the denomination, we already starting to lack in shop's counters, I am nearly always asked if I have them). EDIT - nearly every day I get some 1 and 2 ct :flag-ie: coins in my change :)

My first Lithuanian Euro coins were 1 and 2 Cent wich I found on the floor on the ferry from France to England in June 2015.
From summer 2016 on I started to find Lithuanian coins in my change more often (in the middle of Germany).
The few coins I was missing for my collection I received in 2017 during a trip to Latvia.
Now about one in 500 coins in my change is from Lithuania.
