Is this 500 Euro bill authentic?

Hello, i received the attached 500 euro bill today from a client in north america. It has some kind of russian or Ukrainian (or polish?) characters on it. Is it authentic or was i scammed?

Well, for starters, there should be a serial number. The print quality does not seem particularly good, although it's a bit difficult to see from a photograph.

And that text seems to translate to "not a payment". I would think that is not a real Euro banknote.

ABSOLUTELY 100 % a souvenir thing from chocolate / coffee / etc.
Sorry, if that is a loss, but THAT is a souvenir only.

Thank you for the hints guys. Yes that's unfortunate, it was given as a fare for cab ride. Had my hopes up.

Just to confirm, is this language russian or eastern european?
