Holy Shit! A hijacked plane in Frankfurt I heard on CNN that they were planning to crash it into the ECB.

It was just a motorized glider plane.
You cannot cause much damage with these. Remember the plane, which hit the Pirelli building in Milan or the plane that ran into the Bank of America in Tampa.
There are more and worse hazards in daily life. In Germany we loose 8000 lives per year in traffic accidents, one third of them caused by alcohol. If people stopped drinking and driving, we could save nearly the same number of people as died in the Twin Towers. We spend billions in fighting terrorism with doubtful success, while we can save thousands of lives easily by not driving drunk. I mean, we take bigger risks voluntarily and don't care, while we produce big headlines out of spectacular, but relatively harmless events. We loose sense of proportion.
