ECB vs. FED

Post by Meki »

Ive just seen the documentary America: Freedom to Fascism. Pretty scary stuff...

The main point in this documentary is that FED is owned by banks and not by government, so private banks have full control of national currency.

Now, I'm wondering how the ECB is organized and who owns it?

You can watch the documentary on google video: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid ... 7175242198

This is a tipical paranoic documentary of the series "world government consiracy"

Is true that FED and BCE are private institutions, but they have a regulated public function for charter. In the case of BCE, it is formed from the central banks of the states of the European union. The speech isn't elementary as it describes the "documentary".

Actually there is a difference between being owned by central banks and being owned by independent commercial banks.
(assuming that the case really is what was said in the movie)
