Weird, yes. Suspicious locations, maybe. But he is clearly not a serialist, and he enters only few notes for each place. And if I recall correctly, he has not entered notes for quite some time (I have a look at the Austrian rankings quite often.) So he might really have been traveling, with no internet access.
I can't see any evidence for misbehavior, and the fundamental rule in jurisprudence is to rule always in favor of the accused, when there is any reasonable doubt about his guilt ("in dubio pro reo").

But why isn't he entering all the notes at the same day...?

I suspect that many of the "fake" hits are but a misinterpretation by new users of EBT's rules.

Annie_in_exile is most probably right on her previous (October 8th) post

about both Edgar Gencsi / Tomazito hits

Their account details show that they both share the exact same post code
(which in their town means the same side on the same street).
A week after Edgar Gencsi joined, his putative friend Tomazito joined too
and on that same day got the first hit with him. The second one followed ten days later.

If no one tells them anything, they will probably unknowingly misbehave again soon.

I observe a disturbing trend to become more and more skeptical and mistrustful, particularly in this thread. (This is not restricted to EBT, also to national and international politics and security.)

Hate me for it, or regard me as naive, but I believe that we have enough true and devoted users that we are strong enough to bear some others who don't keep to the rules. They exist everywhere (not only on EBT), and it is impossible to prevent them completely from doing so. You might give them a hard time but then? Maybe they stop, but what if they just get themselves new accounts? This is a game we cannot win.

I'm not going to defend serialists (unless they reply, if asked, with a reasonable explanation), but I'd like you all to be a little less critical, and to respect the rule of innocence until the opposite has been proven. This is not because I might need it some day myself, but because this whole project is based on idealism, and it is necessary to keep the idealism, even when it is endangered by guideline violations.

Dear Gauss, despite my sometimes harsh comments I count myself an idealist as well. That doesn't stop me from taking measures against things I can do something about (what an unclear sentence). I agree that the majority plays by the rules, but that's all the more reason why we should keep an eye on the fraudsters. You shouldn't just shake off injustice but defend the ones who stick to their morale and continue doing the right thing, so to say, without fiddling with their notes. I said "keep an eye on" which means this open discussion forum where everybody can express their suspicions. Different people pay attention to different details; some allegations are totally without foundation while others bring out small illogical things which may lead to a hit being moderated or a user to be "stamped" as a serialist. You are absolutely right about this rule of innocence until the opposite has been proven and there may be some overzealous comments, but I find that these discussions don't (or at least they shouldn't) hurt anyone, and I'm also glad that other people normally correct the allegations which are clearly on thin ice. We also have to accept that it takes time to learn to smell the rat. To continue this use of methaphors: discussion is just barking, and it's only the moderators' bite that hurts.

Annie, Annie, somehow I know that it'd be you to answer me first... You're bringing good points, and I'm grateful for that. But I've hesitated too long with my previous post to let it be pass like that.

You claim that discussions are fine and bring no harm. I'm not sure about that. At first glance, I'd support that thesis. But the effect I want to point out is well described in a remarkable sentence in Nordstern's farewell:

The complaint is about a contradictory handling of certain types of abuse. More precisely, that one kind of abuse (questionable hits) is prosecuted vehemently (and in a way that has frequently upset honest users!) while a different type of abuse (entering questionable bills) is not.

Indeed, this is a big problem. I have reason to be quite confident that there will be a solution for a more sensible handling of suspicious hits in the near future. But the fight against users entering bills they didn't possess is inherently much more complicated. Obviously, it is impossible to visit all users at home and check whether they have the notes they just entered on them. But as long as the serial is valid (and this is checked) there is no particular likelihood that a first-time entered note has been at the place where it was entered. (This is the difference to hits where you can argue with physical impossibility and absolutely extremely unlikely coincidents.)

And as long as particular users with dubious intention don't commit heavy mistakes - usually related to the shortcode or long lists of consecutive serials, like in the last two cases that were discussed in the forum - there is little that might raise suspicion. Long lists of consecutive serials can be detected and prosecuted, but what you can do about printer mistakes is very limited. There are some clear rules what can appear as printer code and what cannot, and quite a few supposed, but relations can change, and apparently do change right now in some cases. So, if pertinent checks would be applied, there is the danger of rejecting dozens of real notes, and I think this would be far more dangerous to the site than occasional fake notes. (Note that, by using the word "occasional" I do not critisize the chase on stupid, large-scale fakers.)
Another clear problem is that it is not really hard to learn about the rules for the printer code, if you really try. And in fact, don't you believe that intentional large-scale fakers would be willing and able to learn that?
(I don't think that, by mentioning this issue, I've contributed to fakers becoming more resistent against vaccine.) (And no one will read this post anyway because it is too long.)

Discussions raise awareness for the existence of fakers, and it cannot be our goal to make faking popular. These things are related! (Note that terrorism is getting in fashion nowadays in some countries. And, just like terrorism, the "good ones" can give the "bad ones" a hard time (for some time, at least) but they can't win.)

Money is circulating by very different ways. But mostly in your neighbourhood. And often inside families or between members of families. Grandmothers give money to the grandchild, he pays back debts to his mother. She pays at the greengrocer, Grandma gets bacl a bill the same day.
You never saw this way money bills flowing until you and your family started to play this game.

So what's wrong with it?
If the grandson has convinced Grandma to put in the computer her bills?

I don't think that this one is fake.

Assuming that HNL's entry was real

...

I saw the serie of notes the symbol entered and the 200-bills seemed real to me! No consecutive serialnumbers or something. So i think this one is real.

I think it is really fake again!!

It was just lucky that he entered a correct code of HNL. Don't forget that he entered a lot of fake €5,- notes (it is allmost impossible to get that much bills with succeeding numbers), so why would those €200,- notes be real?? Of course it's possible, but I think it's very suspicious. Let's see how the moderators deal with this.

He entered only two notes with "1616" in it... Why would he do that...? Why would he not enter the complete serie?

And he must be really lucky to guess the right shortcode!

Really i think this hit is real! About those 100's 5-notes i don't know, but i think the 200-note was real!
