MISE A JOUR IMPORTANTE

Sorry for using English, but is there a formula of some kind to find out the total number of connecting dots ? A "manual" count gives a different number each time I try (I probably have too many dots ).

You do have too many dots.de*lerger wrote:Sorry for using English, but is there a formula of some kind to find out the total number of connecting dots ? A "manual" count gives a different number each time I try (I probably have too many dots ).
I don't think there's a formula to find out the number of connecting dots... Good luck !

Re: Densité de votre dotmap
Jackgaillard's method is a good one, but you have to be way more careful on the counting process. In mere seconds, I detected a lot of unconnected dots missing from the "not joined" list:
Malta (3 dots)
France (5+1+1+2+1+1 unconnected dots)
Spain (4+8+5+6 dots)
A big chunk in Catalonia and Occitania (Spain+France)
Switzerland (2 dots)
Greece: 34+1 dots, not just 34
etc.
I didn't count everything.

Re: Densité de votre dotmap
Well, I decided to count de-lerger's dots.
If I didn't miss any dot while visually copying the map's dots to a spreadsheet, I believe the contiguous dots amount to 1,533.
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... sp=sharing
If you select the entire sheet, you'll read "Count: 1,533" on the status bar (bottom right).

That's a cool solution Thanks !
I'm travelling at the moment, but I'll post an update when I get home in a few days …

Sorry, the update took longer than I thought it would And there are a lot of changes for this update ! With de*lerger joining the game, everybody goes down one spot in the first ranking. Kleman's cluster grew quite a bit, and is now above the 1000-dot mark. Let's not forget Juliento's impressive performance : with only 2 new dots, he gains 3 spots in the second ranking 73% of the players scored above 50%. The average cluster has 309 dots (+98), and equals an average score of 62,70% (+2,77%).

The spreadsheet solution may be the best one. To the the original list of deductions (as listed by Jackgaillard and lmviterbo) I can also add the Nordkapp dot (not visible on the Europe dotmap) and 6 dots in the Pacific area.

501/875 = 57,26%
