What was your favourite note from the 12 countries?
As a Exchange dealer mine were:
Austria-500 Schillings (beautiful blend of colours)
Belgium-100 Francs (as above)
Germany-100 Mark(hologram,piano and lustre strip)
Finland-500 Markkaa (red colour and hologram)
France-50 Franc(little prince)
Greece-new 5000 drachma(at least best of the greek notes)
Ireland-100 punt (I don't know)
Italy-50000 lira(bright)
Luxembourg-5000 franc (design not bad)
Netherlands-10 guilder (the complicated and bright colour)
Portugal-10000 escudos (highest denomination)
Spain-2000 peseta(bright colour)
So these are my favourites, what are yours?

I'd say 1000 markkaa note is my #1, 100 markkaa note comes second.
All the former Finnish notes:

Portugal - 2000 escudos, a beatifull blue note (9.98euro)
Italy - 1000 lire, probably because they were so small and also because with few money you could have lots of them...
Greece - 1000 dracmas.. I like the designs very much..

I also dealt with french francs and spanish pesetas, but don't remember very well the notes.. but I guess 10 francs was very nice... hmm and also 10 deutsh mark.. but this was the only mark note I ever had.. never been to Germany..

I travelled a lot in Europe before and honestly think the most beautiful and well-formed bills were here in Finland. 100 mk bill was my favourite.
But I dont miss markka because eurobills are the same quality and beauty :!:
