- this took me some time to find, but the village this place belongs to uses only german as official language (despite of the fact wikipedia lists its name in two languages)

my bad!! I understood your question not as border between FR/IT but two options: FR/AT (I haven't realized Austria is not neighbour of France) and IT/AT. and since Austria is neighbouring with Italy your question was partially good too. :D i will correct it in my answers.
