Nearly? In 2000 a research of the EU commission tells that 41% of the EU15 citisens speaks English (19% French, 10% German, 7% Spanish, 3% Italian).Elmo wrote:...nearly everybody speaks
English
Today I think the % of EU25 counties is lower.
It means about 250 million individuals who do not speak English.
So, how about my "Personal EU" idea?
Anything I can do we can do better.

Everybody (except the French) know Engelish. So everybody (except the French) can talk and communicate with all (except the French) the other EU-members.

I'd vote for Latin. I don't think EU should adopt the language of its enemies (the UK, which is in the EU just to try to slow it down and try to make it fail, and the USA, our rival.)

Hey, you're forgetting that English is Ireland's main language too. And I wouldn't say that the UK and US are our "enemies".Yannn wrote:Fons, go and....Fons wrote:Everybody (except the French) know Engelish. If you can keep your head when all around you have lost theirs, then you probably haven't understood the seriousness of the situation.
