philgelico wrote: Sun Nov 24, 2024 8:54 pm Hello friends,
I project to spend a week in Tenerife.
I don't know if there are active EBTers there, i've seen that some finnish EBTers have moved from Finland, and live now in the Canary Islands, but apparently no active user.
Do you know EBT people living there ?
If it's possible, i'd love to meet EBTers there.
Feel free to send me PM.
Many thanks.
I am this week in Tenerife (Puerto de la Cruz) (Trying to avoid storm Bert, but it is folowing me   ) I am planning to rent a car this week to try to score all the 5 dots in Tenerife. I see you're not here jet

As I received some exotic country hits in the last time,
it was my desire to display the concerning country flags on the EBT profile page.
Unfortunately on the EBT profile page (signature) it is not possible to display images.
But all the country flags ARE IMAGES like https://es.eurobilltracker.com/img/flags/Spain.gif

Some days ago EBT member Klapotec transfered a list of country flags (gif) into smileys.
Smileys can be very well displayed on the EBT profile page.
Just have fun with the new feature!

Note: This "country-flag-smileys" work exclusively on the EBT profile page and not here in the forum.
see-> "Smiley Flag" for the United States :flag-us: does not work here but on the profile page it will work.

¡Hola a todos!

I'm once again heading to Spain this summer and I thought of maybe trying to find some ATM:s this time :D :flag-es: Usually I've just taken some bigger bills with me, and then gradually breaking them down during the stay. Something different this time. Is there any ATM:s dispensing :note-5: or :note-10:, or is there any other amazing tricks to get as many bills as possible? I can speak a bit of Spanish but unfortunately not yet enough to have a good conversation :( Practico cada dia y un dia del futuro tal vez podré hablar completamente! (probably full of mistakes, but it starts from somewhere..)

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Best Regards

Hola Tárrega.

There are no ATMs giving out :note-5: in Spain (at least not from bank controlled ATMs). :note-10: are dispensed (as far as I know) from Caixabank, Santander, Sabadell, Kutxabank, Laboral Kutxa... and I don't know of any others). I can assure you BBVA won't give you any bills that are not :note-20: and :note-50:. And expect no :note-100: or :note-200: from Spanish Banks. As to how to get more :note-5: and :note-10: use your big bills for small purchases in places with plenty of clients, smaller, less frequented shops might not have enough fives for your fifty and you might end up with more coins than wished. Be smart with your change. That's all I have to say.

Hola lapislazuli! :D ¡Y muchas gracias por tu respuesta!

I know there is a Caixabank in the village I'll visite, so that's really great! :note-10: are absolutely great too and actually a note I haven't reported as much as the :note-5: or :note-20:. Maybe :note-5: are more prominent in countries with less cash usage, e.g. Estonia (I haven't been there, but as a Finn I've read something about it on the Finnish forum). But that doesn't really fit so well with the fact that countries like Germany and Austria do have ATM:s dispensing :note-5: ... I don't know, maybe it'll come to España one day :) I will spend my bigger notes in large supermarkets, and maybe I'll have some really big notes, like :note-200: for you to find there - we'll see

Y a la sección en español: Voy a visitar la parte oriental del España, a un pueblo sé que llama Petrer. ¿Qué parte de España vives?

¡Buenas noches desde Dinamarca!
