Sorry to interrupt the image streak. This post goes back to the origins of this thread. (Nothing against the image streak — I really like the idea. Feel free to answer me if you have anything to say, as well as to keep posting hit partner number show off images.)

Hit Partners is a ranking that is missing on the website, right next to the other User Rankings (Notes, Hits, and Referrers).

In order to break ties, some measure of hit partner distribution should be used. Here are two of them that could make sense:
hits / hit partners average (the smaller the better)
skewness (the higher the better)

For example, both Ralf_ebt and Henk Draijer have 1 105 hit partners at the moment. Who should be ahead in this ranking?

Hi lmviterbo, I was about to post my 599 hitparner maarsy, when I saw your post. Although I read it several times I still do not understand what the posts then should be about. Only users with 1000+ hitparners? Or the top ones? I also clicked through several pages of this thread and users always (starting with post #2) posted number of hitpartners. Most recently the posts are enhanced with link to image with number of the hitpartners. Searching for said image is as exciting as finding such hit, for me at least.

I've asked it on the Portuguese forum, now I'm asking again: How many different hitpartners have you got?

Although you are not the one starting this thread, how then do you understand what the originator intended? What should be example post then? Myriad of users on 213 pages of this thread so far have been posting number of hitpartners and now we may all find out we were all wrong..

I tried to make it clear that I do not want in any way ruin this game. I really like the idea of posting images with the number of partners. In fact, sometimes I do participate in a similar thread on the Portuguese forum (my most recent contribution; and my gallery there).

I wanted to stress out that a list like the one JP Simões created on this thread's first post should be viewable on the website's stats — and I couldn't find a better thread than this one to say it. Also, I thought that the best way to show what I meant was to create myself such a list and post it.

If you believe I should have created a new thread for this purpose (or if there's another, more appropriate, thread), feel free to say it.

And, even if you don't, please keep this thread as it is, staring by posting the image for your 599th partner! The image streak is great to watch, and searching for a good image to post is certainly exciting and fun.

I am just a "Euro-Regular in Training" so understandably I would have a lot of questions . And as I had the impression you had an idea what this thread should be really about, I asked what it was as I did not and still do not understand what you meant should really be posted here...
By no means I want to disrupt the original meaning of things, especially when I might not comprehend their meaning, so I guess I will sit this one out until this gets restarted the way it was or this thread will be re-purposed.

Please forgive me if my way of writing may be seen as any kind of scolding, or dressing down, or reprimand — it was never intended to be such. English is not my first language, and sometimes the tone conveyed might not be the best.

I realise that I'd rather have posted my considerations and my ranking on a freshly created forum topic.

Please please ignore this interruption and share your 599 image here, and let's keep the topic as it has been (everyone sharing the number of partners, with an image of that number). This is a nice topic, and should be going the same way as ever.
