many differences

Post by Fons »

A week ago I saw the temperatures in the newspaper and in the North of Finland it was -37! and in South-Africa was it +40!!!!
The differencen was 77 degrees Celsius!! 8O 8O

But it's at the other side of the world so it's logical.
But 77 degrees is still many.

But in South Africa it's summer at this very moment, since it's on the other side of the equator.
But in Thailand, for example, it was also 40°C (even more sometimes) and there it's winter!
Well, geographically.... They don't have an actual 'winter'.
Just a 'dry season' (our winter) and a 'wet season' (mousson rain).
In their (wet) summer, it's even hotter, but with 90-100% humidity!
And the difference daytime is about 30 minutes....

That's a long time ago that happened I think...
I hope it'll last, because mostly if it snows, it just some grey mud on the street. :(
2 hours ago, it was snowing very hard at my place. There were even many thunders and lightnings ... I haven't seen that while it's snowing before :!:
So at the moment, everything is white at my place - yes :D real snow ... :D :D.

Over here, there was a lot of (big) hail.
Then a little snow, but actually I think it was just little hail. :)
And now it's all gone, except for some ugly grey 'something' at the sides of the road... :(

Very windy, a lot of flashy lightning, and LOTS of hail!
It took the storm one hour to come to my place. When I drove home I saw flashes around half of the horizon, later we had hail (about 1 cm in diameter) and then some snow which turned into rain. Quite peculiar for this time of the year!

There was no real storm or hail at my place. Only some rain but they expact snow by the end of the week

Its only -10C in Toronto its beautiful with fresh snow and sunny. But it was a disaster these two weeks on the roads to Toronto. There were many accidents.

Are the characters minus signs? Then I'm not envious - if they are dashes I am very envious!
Hamburg 16h: -1°C and ~2cm of snow (mud) :(
