What did you have for lunch today?
Here is the german explanation for krentenbollen:
Rosinenbrötchen
In Bremen it is called:
Heißwecken
and you will find a lot of words in South, West of East Germany. In Germany it is very difficult to name special food.
By the way my lunch today was "Auflauf" What the correct word in english, I think souffle is not right.
It is made with potatoes in slice, broccoli, minced meat and cheese. My kids don´t like it, but my husband and me do.

Re: What did you have for lunch today?
My dictionary calls it "pudding" - not to be confused with the German "Pudding" which is custard.gabriela wrote:By the way my lunch today was "Auflauf" What the correct word in english, I think souffle is not right

"Auflauf" in Dutch is 'soufflé' (I looked it up )gabriela wrote: By the way my lunch today was "Auflauf" What the correct word in english, I think souffle is not right.
But it's not in my English dictionary...
