Actually, among their super coalition, only Australia and Great Britain have sent troops...
Turkey is in the list but oppose to let the US army go through its soil... Tchechenia (Poutine will like it)...

It's a bit pathetic...

I believe Denmark and Poland also send some specialised troops but not as much as the UK and australia

Most of those countries don't seem very mighty or even democratic to me.

And South Korea also sent some troops to Iraq today, but they are only medical and engineering personnel

Counting the medical assistance means nothing... Canada has 31 specialists also engaged in the conflict, but they are not fighters.

The truth is USA, GB and Australia are alone there.

Anyway, I have seen very sad images, yesterday night. Children crying because they were alone in the street (their whole family was killed), a lady who was looking at the rests of her house... bodies...

I find this invasion criminal. I wish Blair and Bush coukd be judged one day, like Milosevic!!

The USA already get the pressure on Iran and Syria. But the UK has said no for these countries.

True, but to it's probably just to influence the public opinion in the US that they supported by other countries in this conflict and apparently for doing that it doesn't matter if you even have to mention the Solomon Islands on your list.. By the Way: "Palau" ??

War is always a sad thing...and to my feeling the USA is going over the top and playing a very dangerous game here... The story about Iran and Syria is more of the same stuff...

Today i saw a programme about the hometown of Bush in Texas, i don't remember the name anymore. It's a little village of 700 people, all pro war but one, a pacifist that especially came to that town.
I really looked like 8O , when a person was saying in the lines of: "Those that are against this war and protest against it, didn't understand anything of this" and he showed the bible... Frightening stuff...

Portugal is in the list BUT: we didn't send any troops, and we aren't, second, only the government is in favor of US, but even this support is like: "in a war between an ally and a dictatorship we cannot be neutral..", third our President and 70% of the portuguese people are tottaly against the war..

our president said more then once, that he tottaly supports Chirac's opinion..

so... well..

as to Denmark, Poland and Spain, they all have sent troops but only for humanitarian actions, they're not involded in war actions...

Only political support, isn't it ?

When the Americans have captured Bagdad in a swift battle, all of this will never have happened ... it will be erased from our collective memory
Today I already have the impression the tone within Nato and the UN is shifting to mild support for the "coalition" and looking beyond victory

If the war takes more than six months, with many casualties, ..., dunno,
different story
Time is on our side ...

Here is the list (sorry that it is in German, but it should be easy to understand):
Mongolei, Mikronesien, Nicaragua, Großbritannien, Australien, Polen, Rumänien, Türkei, Japan, Afghanistan, Albanien, Aserbaidschan, Bulgarien, Kolumbien, Costa Rica, Tschechien, Dänemark, Dominikanische Republik, El Salvador, Eritrea, Estland, Äthiopien, Georgien, Honduras, Ungarn, Island, Italien, Kuwait, Südkorea, Lettland, Litauen, Mazedonien, Marshall-Inseln, Niederlande, Palau, Philippinen, Portugal, Ruanda, Singapur, Slowakei, Solomonen Inseln, Spanien, Uganda, Usbekistan.
Is that impressive or what
Solomon islands and Marshall Islands + former USSR republics & warsaw pact members ... some EU members, is that a majority ?
Time is on our side ...

It's a micro island, in the north of Papouasie-Nouvelle-Guinée.

here is its flag:

It's independant since 1981. They use the US dollar.

And AFAIK the only country where majority of the people support the war is the US so you can't really speak of wide support
