Due to a remark in the Dutch section of this forum, I decided to make a list with countries but not based on ther absolute number of EBT users but based on a relative number of EBT users. Or in other words, I calculated the percentage of EBT users per country compared to the number if inhabitants of the country. I plan to update this list at least every month! Enjoy! New from the 29th of October is a complete relative ranking! From now on, all countries are included in creating the top 20(!) of countries with the relatively highest number of EBT users!
For example Finland: There are 20.987 users registered on the 3rd of April. The number of inhabitants of Finland is 5,223,442. This means that per 1000 inhabitants there are 4.018 users!!
For Luxembourg: 172 users, but only 468,571 inhabitants, which is 0.367 users per 1000 inhabitants, which is more than for example Germany or France!
Switzerland and Slovenia have the same number of relative users, their ranking is thus based on their number of absolute users as well.
* Calculations are based on data from Wikipedia.org
* Please send me a PM if you see any errors
* Number of inhabitants of Kosovo estimated on 1,970,000 based upon new information. If anybody has exact figures, please send them by PM, thank you!

To present a more correct view of the relative ranking, I included ALL countries in the calculations, so not only the absolute top-15 anymore. From now on, countries that are lower ranked on the absolute list also have the chance to be listed in the relative ranking!
In order to place each country below or above average, you could add a totals figure.
Of course, we all can do the calculations, summing up all the figures for inhabitants and ebtists, but I guess you have these data on a worksheet and will do that easily.
I found some new information on the number of inhabitants of Kosovo, therefore I updated the list (first post). Kosovo is not longer in the relative top 20 anymore, but has been replaced by Iceland, which has the same percentage of users as Estonia, but less absolute users, which places them lower on the list.
Also new in today's list is an average number, which shows the average number of users (or percentage of users) of all countries with EBT-members.

Wow, that is A LOT of work!! Average of all the Top-20 countries should be enough, I guess. And, in fact, now that I think of it, isn't that what you've done?
