I found stamped notes when I withdrawn 660 € as 20 notes in McDonalds AIB Cashpoint in Blanchardstown Shopping Centre. All other cashpoints was down.
First time when I found those notes. The stamps was clear AIB Blanchardstown
I am still wondering what might the thick stripes which are made with paintball pen. The stripes are black or red. Usually I have found them in 50 € notes.
The stamp itself is blue/purple and 'readable', I think it says: "Rozhledna na vrchu Haj u Ase (or Asa) - Hainberg - 1904 - 100 let (or fet) - 2004" and is written in a circel with a building in it (I guess a chuch)
The bill itself is a old German bill (X045-------- / P003--)
I got a €20 note from a foreign exchange counter at Zürich airport 2 weeks ago that was stamped vertically across the middle "06/07/77" in bold writing.
Somebody's birthday present, perhaps??
I think I brought it back to the UK and changed it back to GBP a week later (Gatwick airport, perhaps)

It looks like a german phone number, though 02974 is the domestic prefic for Bad Fredeburg in the "Sauerland" (where (older) dutch people like to spent their holydays) and 02974 is not a valid area coda in austria.
When I tried to edit a comment, I made the same experience, the edit was denied due to much charackters... is there a new limitation for the comment-field?
If so, I wouldn't call this a goo idea, detailed comments give the entry a face
