HOW THIS WORKS
a brief explanation

L=longanimity is a measure of... longanimity, that's right, and that means more or less the "toughness" of an ebtist, based on the number of notes registered without a hit multiplied by the number of days s/he's been active.

It's in fact a dimensionless unit, which compares the result of this multiplication with a constant named "alfe number" on a logarithmic scale. The alfe number (Ψα) is the number of notes registered by the "unluckiest" ebtist of all time by the time he had his first hit, multiplied by the number of days he'd been active on that lucky day. alfe is his name and it took him 10 003 notes and 468 days to find someone else's note.

L (the longanimity) is measured in centialfe (cα), so you can say that Drachenwald has a longanimity (or toughness, if you prefer a dull word) of 105.41 centialfe.

The formula to compute L is:

L = ( 10 ∙ log(n ∙ (Ta + 1)) / log(Ψα) )²

L = Longanimity
n = # of notes registered
Ta = Time active (in days, from the day s/he joined EBT to the date when the last note was registered)
Ψα = alfe number

In Excel, the formula is:

I mean maybe someone entered notes long time ago, and then after he has been idle for a long time he remembers Ebt somehow, and starts again. I think this will give an "unreal" number of active days. For example Berlin User superkoch, entered some notes in 2002, and then after 1.121 days of inactivity, he is now entering notes again. At the time before he was active again he had a longamity from about 40, and then from one day to another a longamity about 80. I hope you see my point, even though I like your idea of involving this factor into your list.

Yes, you're right. alfe number was meant to be good for the Portuguese version, and it was devised with a tongue-in-cheek attitude. Anyway, as far as I know, ItalianMoney is in fact up to now the toughest ebtist on Earth, having reached a hit after an astonishig 15 867 notes and 526 days.

Once again, you're right. That's one of the reasons why I mentioned this was a tentative version. In fact, the number of active days as showed by NIG should be considered, but right now that data is not public.

I hope you see my point, even though I like your idea of involving this factor into your list.
