Post by pastel »

After comparing stamps, we could compare fuel prices..
I know there some differences, because when I traveled to Spain last September, I spared :note-20: in a single tank 8O

:flag-pt: Unleaded 95 : 1,221
:flag-pt: Diesel : 0,995

Yes, Diesel is more expensive than Unleaded. This is also the case in the UK, US and Switzerland. I don't know why though...
If you can keep your head when all around you have lost theirs, then you probably haven't understood the seriousness of the situation.

Probably because diesel pollutes more? The usual way of putting lower tax for diesel is just pure idiocy. I understand the professional drivers need a discount from the taxes, but it really should be done some other way than by favouring a worse type of fuel.

You´re not quite right when you say that diesel polutes more
I´m getting a new car this month and I compared the Co2 g/km for the same car with different motors:
1.3 diesel  122-127
1.0 Unleaded  127-132
1.2 Unleaded  139-144

I´m taking the diesel

:flag-be: Unleaded 95: 1,333
:flag-be: Unleaded 98: 1,355
:flag-be: Diesel: 1,078

These are the maximum prices. In my neighbourhood there are a lot of gas stations involved in a price battle, that keeps the price until 13 cent under the maximumprice.
