No, she should have continued. Besides Finalnd (of course) my favorites were Iceland and Lithuania who took an obvoiusly parodical approach to the whole thing. It just seems voters only saw the (now doubt intentionally) irritating surface of Silvia's show and completely missed the point. The contest needs performances like hers.

I think the Irish song is pretty awful. Why do we always have these crappy ballads? They worked for us 10 years ago, but the Eurovision has moved on.
That explains how we won it 3 times in the 90s, yet failed to qualify two years ago after getting 12 (!) points - all from the UK.
If you can keep your head when all around you have lost theirs, then you probably haven't understood the seriousness of the situation.

That's true. No one outside Iceland (or Scandinavia) knows her, so no one knew that she was acting. I liked her song and act.

I had never seen her before last night but still I found it fairly obvious that it was just a role and not her real personality. If she acts like a stereotypical diva and forces all the clichés into her song and performance, there's not much room for speculation on whether she's serious.

Actually she reminds me of Krisse Salminen, a Finnish showperson who leads a similar role on national television

Yeah. Lordi to the finals!! 8) :D Holland not, but that doesn't matter, cuz I didn't like their song (although they earned the final place more then some finalists now).
I really hope Lordi's gonna win..Maybe...They really earn it, their performance was so cool! At least in comperation to the others! They really got into everyboys eye. So hope they'll make it!!
GO LORDI!!

Iceland -> EXIT that bitch!
Lithuania? 8O Okay i know that is not to be taken seriously, it could be nice yes, if it wasn't such a irritating melody. For participating in the half final, okay. But final goes too far!
And about that Iceland-bitch (:P), I don't know but got the feeling she's pretending ALL, so also all her comments..I mean, it's all too overdone..Nah or she just really is a bitch :twisted:

Brian is singing right now. Well, he is much better than many of these dancing queens and boys who should better perform at MTV. And he looks sympathic. Sure he will get higher, but Lordi from Finland really beats everyone until now so far.
