Big numbers indeed. 17 million notes was also passed a week ago. And now we're already on our way towards 18 million notes. I like how things progress. :P

That means I entered one in every 20,000 notes last month.... :D

But it doesn't look good for my prediction for 2006....

Why does it say 1 007 850 when I check the statistics for the last month?

And it is still growing : 1.009.317 at the moment ?

What happens :?:

I have noticed that you can't anymore be sure of numbers shown on the EBT site. They vary so much and there are also many very odd figures in different functions. I don't know if this is because of the catching effect or some other event, but the thruth is that I don't hold them as the ultimate thruth. More like an estimate. :idea:

Yes, caching has some odd effects at times. However, the 1 009 317 figure is the correct one. Now if someone is to point out that the diffusion graph shows different values, it's because the diffusion graph counts the number of unique notes entered into the system, so essentially this means that hit notes are not included in those figures.

I'm not worried if some figures are a bit outdated (if they still are finally corrected). The main thing is that it's close to real values. We have seen some odd things regarding chart positions. Some "ghost people" have made some people loose positions for a short time (at least it have seemed like that). That's more problematic than if the amount of total notes is a bit outdated in my opinion...

If you're not talking about the calculated ranks in user profiles (which are still being investigated) then please give examples.

As for the total number of bills in May, it may decrease slightly because I still have 2, 3 fakers on my list of endangered users. Don't worry, I roughly checked their bill count for May before posting the latest news, their impact should be between 1000 and 2000 notes ;-)

By the way, I just noticed that eurobilltracker.com is now ahead of wheresgeorge.com in terms of the total value of the notes entered. Blame or praise the current USD/EUR rate. :lol:

http://www.eurobilltracker.eu/
(total 2006-06-03) € 370,160,975

http://www.wheresgeorge.com/
(total 2006-06-03) $ 472,395,427 --> € 368,626,943

As far as the number of notes entered, however ... about 17 million vs about 84 million. :wink:
