I always put the following in the commentbox

Place - State of bill pe "Bakery - Good Condition"
or
Place - Funny comment pe "Soccergame - KRC Genk - AS Roma 4-0"
or
State of bill alone. pe "Bill is torn above and has 37 written on the frontside"

I think the comment tag should be bigger and people should be more encouraged to fill it in. I think it's nice to know what happened with a bill along the way.

Before I only wrote comments, when there were something strange about the bill or the location, but now I have started to comment on almost every bill. It's a bit boring to read though ("From Mum""From Dad" and so on).

In the beginning I didn't wrote very much in the comment. Now I do that almost every time. Even if I got notes at the bakery. :D
Ah, look at all the lonely Euronotes. Where do they all come from? (The Beatles, Eleanor Rigby)

Nope, it's longer nowadays. About 100 characters (I've written a message about it somewhere but can't remember where). 100 characters is rather much, you can write quite a story.

Nowadays I write some sort of comment abot almost each and every note. At least the source, sometimes the condition of the note if it's really good or really bad, because that should give you an idea about the lengtht of its life cycle. If the note proves its prognosis wrong, the better! I mean that if I should happen to get a hit with a wrinkly, folded, dirty note of which I've written a comment "at the end of its life"...

I also try to plan my life ahead... meaning that if I withdraw money from an ATM and plan to travel somewhere during the next week, I write those comments in the database as well. "Will be spent shopping in Köln/Düsseldorf/Aachen" is quite a common comment in my notes :D In case of an eventual hit, I'd like to remember where I've released the note in the wild. I also keep track of the notes which I export myself and information about those is included in my statistics.
