EBT Yahoo Widget

Post by ZombiekE »

Hey guys, it would be nice if we had an EBT Yahoo Widget so that we can enter bank notes without coming to this website. I know there is some app, but Yahoo Widgets could promote EBT :).

I have spent the past while working on a widget. However I have one or two problems and I was wondering if someone could help? I can submit note data no prob which is pretty much the main thing you need it to do but I can't get it to login... For example I'm making it submit by the get method putting the values in the url e.g. http://www.eurobilltracker.eu/index.php ... zip=Dublin
But this doesn't work for the login. Technically, http://www.eurobilltracker.eu/index.php ... d=password
should work. But it doesn't.
Can anyone see what I'm doing wrong? Or is it that this method just won't work with the site for the login?
Any help would be great! :D I think that a widget sitting on your desktop would be really handy for entering note data quickly.
Thanks,
al.

Hi, your assumption that GET and POST methods are interchangeable with PHP is slightly off. It used to be like that in the past, but as we turned off the register_globals option (for security) more than two years ago, this is no longer the case. You need to POST the email address and password, then grab the PHPSESSID from the resulting page, and use that when submitting the note data.

Hi, thanks for that info. :D Ya, I thought that it had to do with the session id but I wanted to check with one of yee first. I'll let you know how things come along and hopefully in the near future we will have our very own ebt widget...
Thanks again,
Al.
