I've noticed here (in Ireland) that over the last month or so, a lot of ATMs here are now dispensing new foreign euro bills - eg:
€20 - Italy
€50 - Germany or Spain
The €5 and €10s are still produced here.
Has this occurred elsewhere? To me it looks like the Central Bank of Ireland finds it cheaper to source its euro notes from elsewhere in the eurozone rather than to print the notes themselves!
At any rate, it kind of throws off the amount of genuinely foreign bills which people bring with them into Ireland (or vice versa
Still, it's an interesting trend to see here - and one which couldn't have happened as easily before January
