In belgium they started the preliminaries for the eurovision song contest last saturday.

I wonder how the average EBT member thinks about this contest.

I'll probably just watch the voting part just to see how hard the beating is the Belgians get. (It's the Flemish part who sends someone, so there is very little to no change we'll win)

It's always very exciting to see if Finland gets any points. Personally I think that Finland should never again take part on that competition. I just wonder if we are ever going to learn the lesson.

Eurovision is the worst program ever made for the TV.
Seeing Finland be the last one every second year (and being out on the other years) isn't a positive thing, either.

I'm gonna watch, provided that there's some good company and plenty of booze around. :D I belong to the generation which was more keen on this yearly happening, and even now it's a tradition to gather round at some friend's place. My only complaint is that BBC's Terry Wogan, who used to have all these witty comments, seems to have received some kind of orders not to be mean, or in fact, say anything negative about the performers. Come on, that is part of the fun!

I have to! The Finnish song/singer is again so bad that it's really interesting to see if anyone else give us any votes than finnish people in Estonia and Sweden
