Mmmm... I think "JUAN" (male) is one of the most common names in Spain. (Don't you think so N0W1K?) also "MARIA" (female) is very common here :o

Most popular baby names in Italy are:

For boys: Lorenzo, Enrico, Marco, Andrea (which is male gender here). I suppose that the name Mario is not more in use.

For gilrs: Anna, Aurora, Alessia, Alice (four girls with the same name in my son's schoolclass! - what a fantasy!), Vittoria, Elena. The name Maria is used no more alone and is always composed with another name: Maria Vittoria, Maria Elena, Annamaria and so on.

For your information, my husband, his bro and some cousins, such as as my sons don't have Italian names (with a long sacred preaching of priests during christening... :evil: )
