Re: I don't see a problem

So what if the note gets taken out of circulation? If it gets 4 hits before it does, what's the problem? They all come out of circulation anyways.

Anyhow, if your note, stamp, or scribble is discreet, most bank staff won't even see it anyways. Most notes are briefly looked at. A banker handling thousands of notes isn't going to check each one for stamps or notes.

And even if they did search every stamp, if everyone stamped/noted their bills, eventually it would become more "common" and less bills would be pulled as a result.
The thing is, in Finland the notes visit banks VERY often. If you stamp 100 notes, you might possibly have one hit with two of them.. The others usually get destroyed withing weeks, maybe even within days!
5€ notes have a chance of surviving even over a month without being destroyed, but still, the experience shows that in Finland even they won't last long if stamped.

What the banks are doing is ridiculous, but there's nothing we can do about it. And knowing the Finnish mentality, I am very sure that if we kept on flooding the notes with EBT stamps, nothing would be gained. Maybe it could work elsewhere, but Finnish banks would just say it's annoying that they have to work extra because they want to do something useless..
The Finns have the customer is always wrong mentality so deep in their heads, that in such situation the bank would only go to war against its customers rather than do something reasonable..

"Present - Alessio and Mario", maybe? Maybe someone marked it so they wouldn't forget what it was for...

Yes, it could be the right interpretation.
The subject is implied (as usually in Italian), this is the real problem to understand what that sentence really means

that simply is an "a" (to), not an "e" (and).

"Regalo (da) Alessio a Mario" -> "Present (from) Alessio to Mario"

(and no, I'm not that Mario :D)

Two "abnormalities" on two notes in a single withdrawal in a Postal Bank in Le Cannet today :

"Varese" is an Italian city ; as for the sticker on the other note, it's weird. Looks like the small tags you find on some new clothes to show the size !

What about that?

Image

The two phone numbers are one in the Brescia district in Italy and the other one is a TIM GSM number.
On google I found the mobile number related to a "Francesca" in the real estate market.
The mystery is the vertical text

"Vicino a Buffoioni" :?: (In the near of Buffoioni) the Buffoioni part makes no sense to me...

Any idea?

For what I can see it seems a TIM italian mobile phone number and a Bresciahome number.
Anyway I won't like for sure to have my numbers written on a note!
