you cant see it well but you can feel it that it is not a real euro, it has no relief and it is not even big like a real 2 euro. The bankautomat doesnt accept this euro and also drink/food automats dont accept this euro

now I have my first fake piece of money I ever had, it's a "2€ 2001"
A friend asked me if I could give him 2€ after his coin was not accepted by the coffee machine. I didn't think of anything bad and exchanged the coin. I noticed a few strange things like unclear details, but I had to examine it very exactly until I found out that it has to be fake. The most definite sign is the edge, it has the "italian style" edge with 6x "2" and 6x "*", and those characters are not visible very clearly. And I think the edge has less, less narrow ribs than a normal 2€ coin.
The magnetism is copied quite good, but only the overall magnetism: it has a strange distribution of the magnetic parts. And at the edge, the metal looks a bit golden, I think there's only a very thin silver layer that is wearing off at the edge
oh, and did I mention the front and back are turned about 10°

"Do you have Buddha-nature or not?"
The cow answered: "Moo."

Three days ago I found a sure 2€ coin 2002 G absolutely counterfait! It looks like more or less like those shown in the previous pictures (as I got time I scan it). Blured Iron and too bright nordic gold. the edge has slight ribs but absolutely no sign of the slightest engraving as all 2€.
Even the weight seems few higher (my balance is not enough sensible to feel the less than 1g difference).
Up to now I'll keep it!

Re: Who found counterfeited (fake) euro coins
Someone working at Center Parcs has been collected all kind of non-euro coins which were used as Euro coins. Yesterday, I've received that bag of coins. I was happy to find my 1st counterfeit 2€ 2002 . As you can see on the scan, it's a bad one. The normal edge lettering of EINIGKEIT UND RECHT UND FREIHEIT as been changed into: * EINIGKEIT UND RECMT UND FREIHEIF
