Wow nice new recordbreaking hit!

Post by Mr Euro »

Hey Guys,

Seen the latest hit? Wow, a real nice one! Billnumber 23987 has been under for 4 months and 2 days. It moved from Dublin Ireland to Graz Austria. Think this one, it is a record breaker by distance and by time under. If Marsupilami1000 or Odranmartin read this post, please do tell us more!

It seems we are now getting into a new phase of EBTing.
The one you cited is now my favourite hit, replacing the one with the bill which went from Dublin to Belfast

How about this bill:

http://www.eurobilltracker.eu/index.php ... &id=202520?

Travelled 1843 km (and that in 6 days). If I read it correctly the original poster went to Finland or sent it to Finland to buy Finnish coins.

Thats mine :-)
I already told people on this forum that this wasn't a 100% real hit (as i count it). But here is the story:

A couple of months there was a thread about Finnish coins (or coins in general IIRC). Since i was still looking for the 1 and 2 cent coins i got in contact with another user of this forum. Things didn't went really fast but in the beginning of this month i sent that 10 euro bill to Finland in exchange for some finnish coins. (still waiting for the coins though  )

Re: TC

I bet it will not take much longer for you to receive your first hit. Since you live near Brussels and with Sixflags in your neighbourhood, I even dare to bet it will be an international hit....

Maybe you have to make some promotion for EBT near your place. That can help ...

Maybe someone with statistical background can do a calculation what the odds are that someone gets a hit?

Lets test it. You enter a note and send it to me. The odd's are about 100% that you'll have a hit :P

But serious. It depends on a lot of things.

If the bill is dirty the chances for a hit are lower since it will be destroyed at a national bank.

If someone writes the URL of EBT on the bill, obviousely the chances are getting higher.

If you spend your bill in a place were there are relatively more people online the chances get higher.

There are many factors that can influence the chance that you get a hit. But it should be possible to calculate it.

There are xxxxx bills in europe and yy bills entered into the system.
The math is an exercise for the reader
