(Slightly offtopic:) I saw the hit ratio in Greece is slightly improving over time (it's shadowing the Italian hit ratio quite well, although I don't think there's any relation between these two facts). Moreover, your words underline the (quite obvious) fact that there is a strong circulation of people, and therefore of banknotes, between Greece and Cyprus.
So it's really surprising that there haven't been any hits yet between those two countries! :)

(there's been no hit between Malta and Italy up to now, too, but Malta is especially close to Sicily, and that's one of the places where you have the worst hit ratio on the planet...)

Don't worry... I havn't seen any of them in circulation (nor Chypriot, nor Maltese...). I just got them in some swaps with partners...

Anyway, in december 2001, I got all the Spanish coins (in a starter kit)
in june or july 2002, I got the last german coin, then, after the summer, I finished the french, italian and belgium coins (I mean, in circulation. NOT swapping) the last countries were Luxembourg and Finland of course, which I found last year. so I had to wait 5 years!! 8O

This morning I got a :flag-cy: 20c (my first!) in change when I was buying coffee and a croissant just outside of Paris, on my way to work.

It's slightly tarnished by fingerprints, but still very shiny.

Needless to say, it will not be going back into circulation! :D
