I'm just wondering where to spend the nights. Can sb give me a website to book online in a cheap hotel in the Brussels area, unless a kind, Belgian EBT-er could host me

Don't worry, the creator of this website is French too and he will come to the meeting as well. You can see the people and their country where they come from on page 1 of this thread. I bet there will be many participants who can speak French, so let language or country not be any barrier for you!

Oh, I'm not worrying ! That was just a small remark, it's not a problem for me to be almost the only Frenchman. As I can speak English, and slightly Spanish, no language barrier for me!

Bleh, I'm not too sure anymore I can come.

I failed some of my exams in june, and I have to redo them in august...
Normally those re-exams only start at the end of august, but this year they already start at the beginning...
I all depends on how far I get with studying, but I'm not so sure anymore I can make 1 or 2 days free just before my exams, or maybe even during my exams...

I really hope I can come though...

We have planned our holiday from 28/7 - 11/8 >> I won't be able to come

I will however think of you all and write down as many notes as I can during my stay at Maspalomas (Gran Canaria)

How about if we collect a semi-public phone number listing of all participants? I mean, if someone wants to contact some other EBTer directly, it'd be nice to know some phone numbers. My suggestion: people who don't mind giving out their phone number can PM that number to you, you collect the listing and then you PM that listing to EBTM participants after you've waited for submissions for a few days.

Dakkus and I already mentioned our phone-numbers in another thread on the EBTM-forum.
Wouldn´t it be a good idea if we all responded to Mr Euro´s abovementioned pm by sending him our respective phone-numbers? Then he will be able to create a list, which can be published in this / another topic / distributed again via pm.

Well, I don't mind if my phone number is published on the forum (it's on the FAQ->Legal page anyway), but some people may not be delighted about the idea, that's why I suggested a PM-based approach in my previous message.

I may now be officially counted as a non-participant...

What bothers me the most is that I won a nice lump of cash last Saturday at a TV quiz show, unfortunately it won't be paid on time for me to attend the meeting... I'm also sad because no Portuguese will be attending...

But I solemnly promise all of you I'll be there next year. And I'll pay a round of drinks

(And, please, please, take lots and lots of pictures and post them all here, so we can have a taste of what it was like)
